Philosophy

Two Brothers was created as a return to classic Margaret River wine — structured, honest, and shaped by patience and experience.

Led by winemaker Ben Gould, Two Brothers was established in 2007 with a focus on sourcing premium vineyard sites and has since evolved toward increasingly thoughtful viticulture and winemaking practices. With over 30 years of experience, Ben’s approach is grounded in continual learning, careful observation, and respect for the vineyard. The philosophy centres on certified organic farming, listening to what each season provides, and allowing the fruit to speak with minimal intervention. Little to no additives, gentler handling, and patient winemaking define a style that prioritises purity, balance, and a true expression of place.

We farm organically because it produces better fruit and healthier soils, but more importantly because it keeps us connected to the vineyard. Every decision begins in the rows: low yields, careful pruning, and hands-on work that respects the rhythm of the site. The goal is not intervention, but clarity — allowing the vineyard to speak without distraction.

Our winemaking follows the same philosophy. Ferments are natural, handling is gentle, and oak is used to support rather than dominate. We are not chasing exaggerated styles. These wines are built with balance and longevity in mind: fruit, tannin and acidity working together so they evolve with time.

Two Brothers is a second expression of our Margaret River home — a label focused on tradition, structure and quiet confidence. Wines made for the table, for the cellar, and for the long view.

Organic. Estate-grown. Made to endure.
